

It simply reworks the spawn lists to include a gazillion more critters. On its own MMM does not in any way address the level-scaling. MMM adds piles and piles of reworked and new monsters to the spawn lists. If you make any changes to the world map (adding a building, for example), you will need to use TES4LODGen to avoid distant land glitches.

TES4Edit and TES4Gecko are what you need if you want to mod a mod (like stripping out the dialogue from one mod so it works with another, for example) or do more advanced troubleshooting than Bash is capable of. Last night I spent some time on the TES Nexus combing through the possibilities. To that end, I’m avoiding the admirable and exhaustive packages put together by Jason McCullough and triggercut in favor of trying to address my specific needs. I’m not interested in modding the heck out of the experience but I do want to adjust a few things. Predictably, the discussion thread for Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim had me re-installing Oblivion and I’ve decided to make it my One True Game until I either complete the main quest or end up with a castle filled with yarn, whichever comes first.
